One of the advantages of travelling the world is that you get to know the world broadly. And one of the advantages of staying in one place is that you get to know the world deeply.
Alan MooreRead
There is no coincidence. Only the illusion of coincidence.
Interpretation
This quote suggests that events in life are not random; rather, they are interconnected in ways we may not fully understand.
Alan Moore's quote emphasizes the idea that what appears to be coincidence is actually a deeper, often unseen, connection between events. It challenges us to reconsider our understanding of chance and fate, suggesting that every event has a purpose or reason that may not be immediately evident, prompting reflection on the nature of existence and our perceptions of reality.
In practice

The only reality we can ever truly know is that of our perceptions, our own consciousness, while that consciousness, and thus our entire reality, is made of nothing but signs and symbols. Nothing but language. Even God requires language before conceiving the Universe. See Genesis: βIn the beginning was the Word.
My main point about films is that I don't like the adaptation process, and I particularly don't like the modern way of comic book-film adaptations, where, essentially, the central characters are just franchises that can be worked endlessly to no apparent point.

When I was working upon the ABC books, I wanted to show different ways that mainstream comics could viably have gone, that they didn't have to follow 'Watchmen' and the other 1980s books down this relentlessly dark route. It was never my intention to start a trend for darkness. I'm not a particularly dark individual.
Love your rage, not your cage.
Hence it demands the emptiness of all the faculties. And when the faculties are empty, then the whole being listens. There is then a direct grasp of what is right there before you that can never be heard with the ear or understood with the mind.
The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless.
[Religion is] the attempt to be in harmony with an unseen order of things.
My biggest faults is that the faults I was born with grow bigger each year. It's like I was raising chickens inside me. The chickens lay eggs and the eggs hatch into other chickens, which then lay eggs. Is this any way to live a life? What with all these faults I've got going, I have to wonder. Sure, I get by. But in the end, that's not the question, is it?
To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.
I see in the rising crescendo of ethnic tensions, civilization clashes and the use of religious justification for acts of terror, a clear and present danger to humanity.
