Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less. Humility is thinking more of others.
Rick WarrenRead
Being successful and fulfilling your lifes purpose are not at all the same thing; You can reach all your personal goals, become a raving success by the worlds standard and still miss your purpose in this life.
Interpretation
Success can be measured in traditional achievements, but true fulfillment comes from understanding and following your life's purpose.
This quote emphasizes the distinction between conventional success, which often focuses on external achievements and recognition, and true fulfillment, which arises from discovering and living out one's unique purpose in life. Rick Warren suggests that a person can achieve societal standards of success but still feel unfulfilled if they do not align their actions with their deeper life goals and calling.

Resentment always hurts you more than it does the person you resent. You are only hurting yourself with your bitterness. For your own sake, learn from it, and then let it go.
Our culture has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.
It’s not just what you eat that matters, it’s what eats you. You can have all the right macrobiotics and organic food, but if your body is filled with resentment, worry, fear, lust, guilt, anger, bitterness, or any other emotional disease, it’s going to shorten your life.

I had a very ordinary background in Sheffield; I went to a secondary modern, but I saw something on TV in 1968 that inspired me to join an athletics club, and 12 years later, with great coaching and the support of people who loved me a lot, I ended up at an Olympic Games.
