A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything.
Malcolm XRead
...What we need to do in the community, and in the city, and in the state. We need to stop airing our differences in front of the white man. Put the white man out of our meetings, number one, and then sit down and talk shop with each other. [That's] all you gotta do.
Interpretation
This quote emphasizes the importance of internal dialogue and solidarity within a community, away from external scrutiny.
Malcolm X advocates for the need for marginalized communities to have honest and private conversations to address their issues without the influence or judgment of outsiders, particularly those who may not fully understand their struggles. He suggests that by unifying and confronting their own differences internally, they can foster a stronger, more cohesive community that can better advocate for its own needs and interests.
