Truth has been relegated to subjectivity; beauty has been subjugated to the beholder; and as millions are idiotized night after night, a global commune has been constructed with the arts enjoying a totalitarian rule.
Ravi ZachariasRead
You cannot really have the world and hold on to it. It is all too temporary and the more you try to hold on to it, the more it actually holds you. By contrast, the more you hold on to the true and the good, the more you are free to really live.
Interpretation
True freedom comes from letting go of temporary possessions and focusing on what is good and true.
This quote suggests that the quest for material possessions and worldly achievements often leads to a sense of being trapped, as these things are temporary and ultimately out of our control. In contrast, by valuing and holding on to what is genuinely good and true, individuals can find a deeper sense of freedom and fulfillment in their lives.

Everyone - pantheist, atheist, skeptic, polytheist - has to answer these questions: 'Where did I come from? What is life's meaning? How do I define right from wrong and what happens to me when I die?' Those are the fulcrum points of our existence.
It is the resurrection that makes Good Friday good.
If you believe in subjective morality, why do you lock your doors at night?
Beginning with adolescence, my political formation was oriented in the ideological direction of Marxism. It was natural, being that my thinking was influenced by an atmosphere of active critical resistance. That was the way it was during all of the dictatorship and up to the Revolution of 1974.
I can't go back to yesterday - because I was a different person then.
By the anxieties and worries of this life Satan tries to dull man's heart and make a dwelling for himself there.
Being a Humanist means trying to behave decently without expectation of rewards or punishment after you are dead.
I can't imagine myself outside any kind of social or political involvement.
People are, if anything, more touchy about being thought silly than they are about being thought unjust.
