You are 27 or 28 right? It is very tough to live at that age. When nothing is sure. I have sympathy with you.

You throw a stone into a deep pond. Splash. The sound is big, and it reverberates throughout the surrounding area. What comes out of the pond after that? All we can do is stare at the pond, holding our breath.
Interpretation
This quote reflects on the impact of our actions and the uncertainty of the outcomes that follow.
Haruki Murakami's quote explores the idea that our actions, symbolized by throwing a stone into a deep pond, create ripples that affect our surroundings. The initial splash and sound represent the moment of impact and the attention it draws; however, the uncertainty of what comes afterward highlights the unpredictability of life and the importance of contemplation and awareness as we await the consequences of our actions.

Everybody burns out in this world; amateur, pro, it doesn't matter, they all burn out, they all get hurt, the OK guys and the not-OK guys both. That's why everybody takes out a little insurance. I've got some too, here at the bottom of the heap. That way, you manage to survive if you burn out. If you're all by yourself and don't belong anywhere, you go down once, and you're out. Finished.
Life is so uncertain: you never know what could happen. One way to deal with that is to keep your pajamas washed.

A withered maple leaf has left its branch and is falling to the ground; its movements resemble those of a butterfly in flight. Isn't it strange? The saddest and deadest of things is yet so like the gayest and most vital of creatures?
A man dies ... only a few circles in the water prove that he was ever there. And even they quickly disappear. And when they're gone, he's forgotten, without a trace, as if he'd never even existed. And that's all.
